Women have different challengesnwhen it comes to losing weight. This book shows why the keto diet (and intermittent fasting) work for.women, especially women over 50 who are facing hormonal challenges. I loved thatbit explained ketosis and the keto diet well. Sample meal plan weeks are included which I found so helpful, the week is already planned out and the work is done for you. Then the recipe section is broken down by meal type which I found helpful, say I don't want salmon for dinner one night, I can flip to the dinner section and substitute another entree. Great resource backed by sound nutrition science.

This book and the one on intermittent fasting are basically unreadable; the grammar, the structure of these books are abominable. Maybe her intent was right but if you are going to publish a guide you should invest in professional help to edit the book. This looks like the author is in it for a quick buck, so; disappointing:/

I don't want to be harsh, because there was some good information about Keto (which I already knew), but being a teacher, I was appalled at the grammar errors, sentence structure issues, and typos. It bothered me that someone did not edit this book before I spent $14.95. Yes, it bothered me. Also, I was hoping for more information directed at someone over 50 going on Keto, but pretty much, the information in this book was the same as any other Keto book that I already read. I was looking for new information. If you're new to Keto and over 50, this would be a good book for you. But if you already know Keto don't buy it.

This book was worthless as I had to read most paragraphs over and over to try and decipher what the author was trying to say. I don't even think they had a friend proofread before publishing. It's simply horrible, save your money, no new info here, and even if there was you wouldn't be able to get it out of the jumbled sentences, and broken English.

I have read several books learning about the keto lifestyle. This book has been helpful to figure out aspects that have not been covered in other resources—specifically how a mature woman of a certain age can benefit from following a keto lifestyle. My purpose for buying this book was not just to get a diet book to lose weight but also to figure out if keto is for me. There are a few places in the book where the language gets a bit technical and that was off-putting initially to me but I now understand the author is trying to be thorough and thoughtful in her coverage of the material. Now that I have read the book I can recommend it, esp. to those trying to really understand what the lifestyle means and how to be keto-compliant to get the most out of following keto.
