Must have for every household!
Bought for my partner- here is her review: 10/5 stars! If I could, I would rate this book 10 stars as this is a book that everyone should buy and read. Gut health is something very exciting that is fortunately starting to make more of an appearance across media. I have followed Dr. Megan Rossi for over a year and have also been fortunate enough to meet her at few events. Not only is she SUPER knowledgable but also extremely smiley, energetic and clearly very passionate about the subject. This book is half textbook/recipe book which makes it extra digestible and ultra useful. Think nutrients, sleep hygiene, exercise and all sorts of evidence based information about gut issues. I have made 4 recipes so far and I am definitely going to plan this week’s meals based on her book. Please buy, you will not regret it!!

This book supports the "30 plant a week"diet which rings true to what I see as healthy eating. The dessert/snack recipes are sweetened with dates or a little honey, or prunes for example. Unlike other recipes that claim to be sugar free and replace 200g sugar with 200g honey (which is still same really) , this book uses very little of the sweet stuff with still very delicious results. The science bit I found very interesting and useful and written in a language that I can understand. It does not have recipes that use meat, but what I do I just add a little meat on the side when and if I feel like it. I have purchased her other book Eat More, Live Well and I am looking forward to reading it. The Gut Health Doctor website provides a lot of useful free information which I am really grateful for, so I am happy to support this healthy eating project by buying the books too.

I dont normally write reviews but felt compelled to do so for this book. The book is well written. It is written in an engaging user friendly well and the information she gives regards the gut and microbiome is fascinating. Equally its delivered in a way that is understandable and interesting.
The second part of the book is recipes and wow! So tasty! Is the only recipe book I have in which literally every single recipe I have made has been a bit hit! Definite new fave book! Our faves so far are the lentil bolognaise, meatless meatballs ( made with aubergine, sundried tomato and olive yum!), satay tofu kebabs, plant powered pancakes, butterbean curry... and Ive only had it a few weeks. Looking forward to adventuring further into the book and doing some sprouting and fermenting!

My dietitian recommended following Megan Rossi and I heard her on a radio interview which sounded interesting, so I bought this book. She is so passionate and excited about gut microbiomes that it's contagious and fascinating! I'm less than half way through but it is so interesting and, to me, makes a lot of sense.

It has recipes to give you ideas to incorporate whole foods, etc into your diet, but is far more than a recipe book. It helps you to understand the why and how of the gut and any problems you may be having. This suits me as I like to do lots of research and understand what is happening to my body. It may be too much explanation for others who aren't that interested.

After 2 years of being woken early with pain/discomfort and urgency, followed by predictable explosions, diagnosis of IBS a year ago with no dietary advice from the GP, and a dramatic worsening alongside the cluster**** of peri-menopause, I decided I needed to do a proper diet trial of some kind. I got Michael Moseley's book, but felt some plausible psuedoscience was creeping in. I had a chat with a client who is a nutritionist, who suggested looking up Megan Rossi. I ordered this book and I love it.

The detailed explanations of how your systems work put signs and symptoms in context. The flow diagrams for each gut condition are logical and progressive, taking you step by step through what to try and when, and what to do if something does/doesn't help.

The recipes are pretty straightforward, very tasty, and was a complete change from my previous diet. My gut issues resolved within two weeks, and I am feeling so much better in my self. Very impressed with the book and the results.

I love Dr Rossi's style of writing about a very complex subject, simplifying it with beautiful word illustrations and sprinkling throughout a lovely sense of humor, so that the average person will understand and benefit from the wealth of evidence-based information. I also bought a copy of the book for my mom who suffers with IBS and she, too, is impressed with Eat Yourself Healthy! I'm looking forward to trying the recipes, particularly the fermented foods. Whether you suffer from gut related illness or like myself just want to keep your gut healthy and learn how it works so as to do so, I highly recommend Megan Rossi's book.

Reviewed in Italy on 4 December 2019
I really like the writer, that is why I bought the book. I love how dedicated to her job Dr. Rossi is.
I must say sometimes the book gets a little boring, with all the scientific information, but I guess it is OK for people who have gut problems and really want to know how the intestine (big and small) work.
The fonts are quite small, making it difficult at times to read.
The recipes are delicious, it is the most interesting part (at least for me).
The spicy beans, the zucchini and banana bread or the aubergine meatballs are a must try.
I keep the book open on my kitchen table to get inspired: Dr. Rossi gives you many ideas on how to sneak vegetables into your diet without eveng noticing it.
